Do I need to see my GP first?
Yes.
You need to see your GP first to discuss your concerns and interest in being tested for ADHD with a registered psychiatrist at Akkadian Health.
Your GP must send a completed referral letter directly to Akkadian Health, or alternatively you can email us a copy once completed by your GP.

What happens at Akkadian Health?
At Akkadian Health, our ADHD pathway follows the latest AADPA Australian Evidence Based Clinical Practice Guidelines. It involves a thorough and extensive process across two (2) separate telehealth video consultation services.
The first service is a general clinical intake by an Akkadian mental health nurse, while the second is with an experienced psychiatrist for your diagnosis and the preparation of your treatment plan.

Are your services covered by Medicare?
Yes. Telehealth appointments with registered psychiatrists at Akkadian Health are eligible for Medicare rebates.
How do I book an appointment?
Once we have your GP's referral letter, we will contact you to help book your telehealth appointments, which take place in the comfort of your own home!

We also offer payment plans across 2 equal payments of $700 (Total: $1400).
In most cases you will receive a $444.90 rebate from Medicare after your second service (Psychiatry).
Our ADHD Assessments are conducted by highly experienced, RANZCP-registered psychiatrists in Australia using the latest AADPA evidence-based guidelines over two extensive consultation sessions.
Your referring GP (and you) will receive a comprehensive assessment report and treatment plan.
Our ADHD Assessments are delivered through accessible telehealth (video conference) services by our dedicated team of clinicians with minimal wait times.
